Muscovite Mica-Chemical Composition
Muscovite, a common type of mica, is a silicate mineral with the chemical composition KAl2[AlSi3O10][OH]2. It is known for its impressive range of physical properties, including its distinctive appearance and high chemical stability, making it one of the most widely used minerals in various industries.
Appearance and Color
Muscovite is typically found in thin, transparent sheets that are colorless or pale. However, the color can range from light yellow, green, gray, to light brown or amber. The color variations in muscovite are primarily due to the presence of impurities, particularly elements like iron or titanium, which substitute into the crystal structure, creating different hues.
The transparency and flexibility of muscovite sheets are key identifying characteristics. It is often used in applications that require a thin, transparent, and flexible material.

Exceptional Properties of Muscovite Mica
Mica boasts outstanding dielectric characteristics, including:
- High insulation strength and excellent resistivity
- Low dielectric loss, arc resistance, and corona resistance
- High-temperature resistance and stability under rapid thermal changes
- Chemical resistance to acids and alkalis
- Perfect cleavage, allowing it to be split into ultra-thin sheets
- Elasticity and flexibility, making it easy to punch, cut, bond, and roll
Muscovite Mica Sheets
Muscovite Mica Sheet is a rigid or flexible insulating material formed by bonding mica paper with high-performance organic silicone resin under heat and pressure. It contains approximately 90% mica and about 10% resin. It has excellent insulating performance at high temperatures. Operates reliably in working environments ranging 300~500°C, with dielectric strength up to 15KV/mm.

Specifications of Muscovite Mica Sheets
